Influenced by the Southwestern craftsmanship of jewelers and silversmiths, the Desert Dusk collection features genuine stones and beads framed by sterling silver stampwork, a process of decorating silver with punches. The punch, or stamp, is held in one hand and hit repeatedly with a hammer held in the other until the design is impressed in the silver. Many of the Desert Dusk sterling pieces showcase the blanket pattern, inspired by a Southwestern blanket weaving.
In contrast to bolder, stamped designs, intricate, hand strung beaded jewelry offer a rich combination of the genuine stones that wash the Southwest desert sky at dusk.
